This image is a good representation of a long exposure strobe light image should look like. The movement combined with the strobe creates a ghostly effect, in which the model seemingly leaves parts of themselves behind. The creepiness of the idea behind this photo is exactly why it is abstract; no clear message is conveyed, and it is entirely open to interpretation. To me, the image speaks of illness, as during the times of the bubonic plague, the doctors would wear a mask similar to the one the model is wearing. The model could be being followed by himself, as though he is a plague unto himself. In terms of improvements to this photo, I believe a more seamless background would improve the eeriness of this photo, and therefore the effectiveness of it.

This image is a negative image. This means that once the photo was exposed to light, 'stop' solution was put onto the paper, preventing that part from developing. In this image I dropped the solution onto the paper and then blew the liquid out so it formed an interesting pattern. After this the paper was placed into the developer for a fixed time to how much i wanted it developed. After this, the paper was placed into fix solution to prevent the chemicals from leaking, and then the paper was washed.

Despite looking like a negative image, this photo was created using both stop and developer; I fully developed some parts of the image whereas some parts I prevented development with 'stop'. This created an effect wherein the tones merged with one another to create an extremely abstracted image.
